To provide major improvements for the appearance of your smile, our team can help smiles with custom porcelain veneers. From stained teeth to misshapen or uneven ones, we can transform your smile with custom dental restorations. In today’s blog, your team at Grinnell Street Dental in Sheridan, WY, talks about the major improvement that our veneers could provide!
The Cosmetic Potential of Custom Veneers
When we place a porcelain restoration, this covers the front-facing side of the tooth, constantly changing the color and shape of the tooth to address multiple cosmetic concerns at once. For example, our team can mask teeth stains too severe for whitening to handle alone, and even repair minor injuries and lengthen worn-down structures too. Placement could fill open gaps between the teeth and address misshapen structures too! For some, this could be a smile makeover in just two visits. Our team is ready to offer major improvement with porcelain veneers.
Creating and Placing Them
To provide major improvement with porcelain veneers, we need to begin with an initial visit. During this appointment, we will numb the tooth or teeth being treated so that we can comfortably remove outer structure to make room for the new restorations. We then take digital images and measurements of these prepped teeth, and use them in a lab setting to design and craft a new restoration.
When your restorations are ready, you will return to the office so that we can check the fit and make any necessary adjustments. Finally, we will attach them to the teeth with a powerful bonding agent, one that we also use to secure crowns and bridges in place.
Keeping Your New Restorations Bright
These can offer major improvement, but how do you ensure they stay bright and last for years to come? To keep them bright and in place, you need to brush and floss daily, limit the sugar in your diet, and be careful about beverages with dark pigments, such as soda, coffee, red wine, and tea. You should also see our team for a routine checkup and cleaning every six months, so we can monitor your smile and keep it strong and beautiful. If you have any questions about how we offer major improvement with porcelain veneers, or if you want an appointment to see if these are right for you, then contact our team today to learn more and get started.
