How does Invisalign work? Invisalign is a series of clear, removable, plastic aligners that gradually move your teeth to the desired position. Once Dr. Coon evaluates your dental needs, designs your treatment plan using 3-D imaging software, and takes impressions of your teeth, your Invisalign treatment can begin.
You’ll wear your Invisalign aligner at all times—except when eating and cleaning your teeth—for approximately two weeks until it’s time to move on to the next one. You’ll continue this process for the entire duration of your treatment, which, for most patients, lasts anywhere from 12 to 18 months. To monitor your progress, Dr. Coon will see you in our office about every six weeks.
